Established in 1905, Universiti Malaya (University of Malaya) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Kuala Lumpur (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi (Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia), Universiti Malaya (UM) is a very large coeducational Malaysian higher education institution.
