Founded in 1940, Adyghe State University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Maykop (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Adygeya Republic. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Adyghe State University (ASU) is a large coeducational Russian higher education institution. Adyghe State University (ASU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment. ASU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, sports facilities, financial aids and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.
