Founded in 2001, Ahlia University is a non-profit private higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the medium city of Manama (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Capital Governorate. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of Bahrain, Ahlia University (AU) is a very small coeducational Bahraini higher education institution. Ahlia University (AU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. This 21 years old Bahraini higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades.
