Established in 1990, Al-Ahliyya Amman University is a private higher-education institution located in the suburban setting of the metropolis of Amman (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Jordan, Al-Ahliyya Amman University (AAU) is a small coeducational Jordanian higher education institution. Al-Ahliyya Amman University (AAU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study. This 32 years old Jordanian higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on students' past academic record and grades. The admission rate range is 60-70% making this Jordanian higher education organization a somewhat selective institution. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment.
