Established in 2010, Al Qalam University College is a for-profit private higher-education institution located in the rural setting of the large city of Kirkuk (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research of Iraq, Al Qalam University College (QUC) is a small coeducational Iraqi higher education institution. Al Qalam University College (QUC) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation) in several areas of study. This 12 years old Iraqi higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations. The admission rate range is 70-80% making this Iraqi higher education organization a somewhat selective institution.
