Established in 1984, Al-Quds University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the rural setting of the metropolis of Jerusalem (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education of the Palestinian Territory, Al-Quds University (QU) is a medium-sized coeducational Palestinian higher education institution. Al-Quds University (QU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. This 38 years old Palestinian higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations. The admission rate range is 70-80% making this Palestinian higher education organization a somewhat selective institution. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment. QU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, housing, sports facilities, financial aids and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.
