Founded in 2000, Alytaus kolegija (Alytus College) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the small city of Alytus (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Lietuvos Respublikos vietimo ir mokslo ministerija (Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Lithuania), Alytaus kolegija (AK) is a coeducational Lithuanian higher education institution. Alytaus kolegija (AK) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. AK also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
