Established in 1991, American University of Armenia is a non-profit private higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Yerevan (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the WASC Senior College and University Commission, American University of Armenia (AUA) is a very small coeducational Armenian higher education institution. American University of Armenia (AUA) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study. The admission rate range is 70-80% making this Armenian higher education organization a somewhat selective institution. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment. AUA also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, housing, financial aids and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.
