Established in 2000, American University of Technology is a non-profit private higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the medium town of Halat Fidar (population range of 2,500-9,999 inhabitants), Mount Lebanon. This institution also has a branch campus in Tripoli. Officially recognized by the Ministère de l'Education et de l'Enseignement supérieur, Liban (Ministry of Education and Higher Education of Lebanon), American University of Technology (AUT) is a very small coeducational Lebanese higher education institution. American University of Technology (AUT) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study. This 22 years old Lebanese higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. The admission rate range is 60-70% making this Lebanese higher education organization a somewhat selective institution. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment. AUT also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, housing, sports facilities, financial aids and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.
