Founded in 1926, Anhui Medical University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the metropolis of Hefei (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Anhui. Officially recognized by the Department of Education of the Anhui Province, Anhui Medical University (AMU) is a large coeducational Chinese higher education institution.
