Founded in 1971, Arak University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Arak (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Markazi. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran, Arak University is a coeducational Iranian higher education institution. Arak University offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. This 51 years old Iranian higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations.
