Established in 1986, Arba Minch University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the suburban setting of the small city of Arba Minch (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), SNNPR. This institution also has a branch campus in Arba Minch Secha. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of Ethiopia, Arba Minch University (AMU) is a very large coeducational Ethiopian higher education institution.
