Established in 2011, Assosa University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the large town of Assosa (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), Benishangul-Gumuz Region. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of Ethiopia, Assosa University (ASU) is a coeducational Ethiopian higher education institution. Assosa University (ASU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. ASU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
