Established in 1930, Azerbaycan Dövlet Beden Terbiyesi ve Idman Akademiyasi (Azerbaijan State Academy of Physical Education and Sport) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Baku (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Absheron. Officially recognized by the Azerbaycan Respublikasi Tehsil Nazirliyi (Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan), Azerbaycan Dövlet Beden Terbiyesi ve Idman Akademiyasi (ASAPES) is a small coeducational Azerbaijani higher education institution.
