Founded in 1992, Bülent Ecevit Üniversitesi (Bülent Ecevit University) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the small city of Zonguldak (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the YÖK - Yüksekögretim Kurulu (YÖK - Council of Higher Education), Bülent Ecevit Üniversitesi (BEU) is a large coeducational Turkish higher education institution.
