Established in 2005, Bakhtar University is a for-profit private higher-education institution located in the metropolis of Kabul (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education of Afghanistan, Bakhtar University (BU) is a coeducational Afghan higher education institution. Bakhtar University (BU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. BU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, sports facilities, as well as administrative services.
