Established in 2008, Begum Rokeya University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Rangpur (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Rajshahi. Officially recognized by the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh, Begum Rokeya University (BRU) is a medium-sized coeducational Bangladeshi higher education institution.
