Founded in 1986, Beirut Islamic University is a higher-education institution located in the metropolis of Beirut (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministère de l'Education et de l'Enseignement supérieur, Liban (Ministry of Education and Higher Education of Lebanon), Beirut Islamic University (BIU) is a coeducational Lebanese higher education institution. Beirut Islamic University (BIU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. BIU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
