Established in 2011, Bilad Al Sham University is a higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Damascus (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education of Syria, Bilad Al Sham University (BAUK) is a small coeducational Syrian higher education institution formally affiliated with the Islamic religion. Bilad Al Sham University (BAUK) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. This 11 years old Syrian higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations and students' past academic record and grades. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment. BAUK also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, housing, sports facilities, financial aids and/or scholarships, as well as administrative services.
