Founded in 1984, Bilkent Üniversitesi (Bilkent University) is a non-profit private higher-education institution located in the suburban setting of the large metropolis of Ankara (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the YÖK - Yüksekögretim Kurulu (YÖK - Council of Higher Education), Bilkent Üniversitesi is a large coeducational Turkish higher education institution.
