Established in 1985, Birjand University of Medical Sciences is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Birjand (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), South Khorasan. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education of Iran, Birjand University of Medical Sciences (BUMS) is a very small coeducational Iranian higher education institution. Birjand University of Medical Sciences (BUMS) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. BUMS also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
