Established in 2007, Birjand University of Technology is a for-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Birjand (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), South Khorasan. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran, Birjand University of Technology (BUT) is a very small coeducational Iranian higher education institution formally affiliated with the Islamic religion. Birjand University of Technology (BUT) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study. This 14 years old Iranian higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations. BUT also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, housing, sports facilities, as well as administrative services.
