Founded in 1981, Bright Star University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the large town of Brega (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), Al Wahat. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Libya, Bright Star University is a coeducational Libyan higher education institution. Bright Star University offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. Bright Star University also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
