Founded in 1982, Buddhist and Pali University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the small city of Homagama (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Western Province. This institution also has a branch campus in Colombo. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Highways of Sri Lanka, Buddhist and Pali University (BPU) is a very small coeducational Sri Lankan higher education institution formally affiliated with the Buddhist religion. Buddhist and Pali University (BPU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. BPU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
