Founded in 2008, Bule Hora University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the medium city of Bule Hora (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Oromia Region. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of Ethiopia, Bule Hora University (BHU) is a coeducational Ethiopian higher education institution. Bule Hora University (BHU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. BHU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
