Founded in 1994, Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences is a private higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Mwanza (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Tanzania Commission for Universities, Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences (CUHAS) is a very small coeducational Tanzanian higher education institution formally affiliated with the Christian-Catholic religion. Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences (CUHAS) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. CUHAS also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
