Founded in 1966, Central Taiwan University of Science and Technology is a private higher-education institution located in the suburban setting of the metropolis of Taichung City (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Taichung. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of Taiwan, Central Taiwan University of Science and Technology (CTUST) is a medium-sized coeducational Taiwanese higher education institution. Central Taiwan University of Science and Technology (CTUST) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees (i.e. certificates, diplomas, associate or foundation), bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment. CTUST also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, housing, financial aids and/or scholarships, as well as administrative services.
