Established in 1950, China Central Academy of Fine Arts is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the large metropolis of Beijing (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of The People's Republic of China, China Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) is a small coeducational Chinese higher education institution. China Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment. CAFA also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, housing, financial aids and/or scholarships, as well as administrative services.
