Established in 1998, Chitose Institute of Science and Technology is a private higher-education institution located in the suburban setting of the small city of Chitose (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Hokkaido. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan, Chitose Institute of Science and Technology (CIST) is a coeducational Japanese higher education institution.
