Established in 1946, Chosun University is a private higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Gwangju (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of Korea, Chosun University is a very large coeducational South Korean higher education institution. Chosun University offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. This 75 years old South Korean higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations.
