Established in 2007, Cihan University is a for-profit private higher-education institution located in the rural setting of the metropolis of Erbil (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Kurdistan. This institution also has branch campuses in the following locations: Sulaimani, Duhok. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Cihan University (CU) is a small coeducational Iraqi higher education institution.
