Established in 2003, Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Gazipur (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Dhaka. Officially recognized by the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh, Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET) is a small coeducational Bangladeshi higher education institution. Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology (DUET) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. DUET also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, housing, sports facilities, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.
