Established in 1939, Donbass State Pedagogical University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the small city of Slavyansk (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Donetsk Oblast. This institution also has a branch campus in Bahmut. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Donbass State Pedagogical University (DSPU) is a very small coeducational Ukrainian higher education institution.
