Founded in 2000, East Yangon University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the small city of Thanlyin (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Yangon. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education (Science and Technology) of Myanmar, East Yangon University is a large coeducational Burmese higher education institution. East Yangon University offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. East Yangon University also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
