Established in 1992, Ekonomikas un kulturas augstskola (University College of Economics and Culture) is a private higher-education institution located in the large city of Riga (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants). This institution also has a branch campus in Daugavpils. Officially recognized by the Latvijas Republikas Izglitibas un zinatnes ministrija (Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Latvia), Ekonomikas un kulturas augstskola (EKA/UCEC) is a coeducational Latvian higher education institution. Ekonomikas un kulturas augstskola (EKA/UCEC) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. EKA/UCEC also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
