Founded in 2000, Fo Guang University is a private higher-education institution located in the suburban setting of the large town of Jiaosi (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), Yilan County. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of Taiwan, Fo Guang University (FGU) is a small coeducational Taiwanese higher education institution formally affiliated with the Buddhist religion. Fo Guang University (FGU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment. FGU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
