Established in 1993, Gavar State University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the large town of Gavar (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants), Gegharkunik. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Armenia, Gavar State University (GSU) is a small coeducational Armenian higher education institution. Gavar State University (GSU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees in several areas of study. This 29 years old Armenian higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment. GSU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, sports facilities, financial aids and/or scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, as well as administrative services.
