Established in 2002, Geumgang University is a private higher-education institution located in the rural setting of the small city of Nonsan (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), South Chungcheong. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of Korea, Geumgang University is a very small coeducational South Korean higher education institution formally affiliated with the Buddhist religion. Geumgang University offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. Geumgang University also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, housing, financial aids and/or scholarships, as well as administrative services.
