Established in 1959, Ghana Institute of Journalism is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the metropolis of Accra (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Greater Accra. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of Ghana, Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) is a coeducational Ghanaian higher education institution. Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. GIJ also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
