Founded in 2006, Giresun Üniversitesi (Giresun University) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the small city of Giresun (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the YÖK - Yüksekögretim Kurulu (YÖK - Council of Higher Education), Giresun Üniversitesi is a large coeducational Turkish higher education institution.
