Founded in 2008, Golestan University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the medium city of Gorgan (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), Golestan. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran, Golestan University (GU) is a small coeducational Iranian higher education institution. Golestan University (GU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. GU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
