Established in 1990, Gomel State Medical University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the large city of Gomel (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), Gomel Region. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, Gomel State Medical University (GSMU) is a very small coeducational Belarusian higher education institution.
