Established in 1989, Gyeongju University is a private higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the medium city of Gyeongju (population range of 250,000-499,999 inhabitants), North Gyeongsang. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of Korea, Gyeongju University is a coeducational South Korean higher education institution. Gyeongju University offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study.
