Founded in 2006, HafenCity Universität Hamburg (HafenCity University Hamburg) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the urban setting of the metropolis of Hamburg (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Behörde für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Gleichstellung, Hamburg (Authority for Science, Research and Equality of Hamburg), HafenCity Universität Hamburg (HCU) is a very small coeducational German higher education institution. HafenCity Universität Hamburg (HCU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. International students are welcome to apply for enrollment. HCU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
