Founded in 1947, Hamhung University of Chemical Industry is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the large city of Hamhung (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants), South Hamgyong. Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education of North Korea, Hamhung University of Chemical Industry is a coeducational North Korean higher education institution. Hamhung University of Chemical Industry offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. Hamhung University of Chemical Industry also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
