Founded in 1960, Huaqiao University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the large metropolis of Quanzhou (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants), Fujian. Officially recognized by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, Huaqiao University (HQU) is a large coeducational Chinese higher education institution. Huaqiao University (HQU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study.
