Established in 1987, Ilisimatusarfik (University of Greenland) is a higher-education institution located in the large town of Nuuk (population range of 10,000-49,999 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Church of Greenland, Ilisimatusarfik is a very small coeducational Greenlandic higher education institution. Ilisimatusarfik offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. Ilisimatusarfik also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
