Established in 1981, Imo State University is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the small city of Owerri (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Imo. Officially recognized by the National Universities Commission of Nigeria, Imo State University (IMSU) is a coeducational Nigerian higher education institution. Imo State University (IMSU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. IMSU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
