Established in 2006, Institut Seni Indonesia Surakarta (Indonesian Institute of the Arts, Surakarta) is a non-profit public higher-education institution located in the metropolis of Surakarta (population range of 1,000,000-5,000,000 inhabitants), Central Java. Officially recognized by the Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi, Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Republic of Indonesia), Institut Seni Indonesia Surakarta (ISI Surakarta) is a coeducational Indonesian higher education institution. Institut Seni Indonesia Surakarta (ISI Surakarta) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. International applicants are eligible to apply for enrollment. ISI Surakarta also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, housing, sports facilities, study abroad and exchange programs, online courses and distance learning opportunities, as well as administrative services.
