Founded in 1979, Institut Supérieur d'Etudes et de Recherche Islamiques (Advanced Institute for Islamic Studies and Research) is a higher-education institution located in the large city of Nouakchott (population range of 500,000-1,000,000 inhabitants). Officially recognized by the Ministère de l'Enseignement Secondaire et Supérieur, Mauritania (Ministry of Secondary and Higher Education of Mauritania), Institut Supérieur d'Etudes et de Recherche Islamiques (ISERI) is a coeducational Mauritanian higher education institution formally affiliated with the Islamic religion. Institut Supérieur d'Etudes et de Recherche Islamiques (ISERI) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study.
